Our
Coffee

At My Kingdom for a Horse we look for outstanding beans from great producers. All of our beans are specialty grade (that is they score higher than 80 according to the SCCA’s scale out of 100 for flavour and aroma). The provenance of our coffee is very important to us and we want our customers to know not just the country of origin, but the region, the varietals, the processing methods and the farmers who toil for us.

All of our coffees are seasonal and we buy according to availability as beans from each coffee producing country become available. Many of the coffees we buy are very limited and we are always searching for that special offering.

We roast a selection of single origins for both espresso and filter brewing as well as a delicious seasonal blend that balances well with dairy and nut milks.

When buying coffee from us, it will come in a bag with a one way valve. Freshly roasted beans will keep well for at least a month and ground coffee, for a week if stored in cool, dark place.

The coffees change regularly and we aim to offer interesting and contrasting beans that will please the most discerning aficionados.
